“Ronkonkoma Street Fair 2024: A Celebration of Food, Fun, and Community”

Held on Hawkins Avenue from Portion Road to Church Street, the fair drew a large crowd of local residents eager to enjoy a day of food, shopping, and community engagement. Despite summer humidity and occasional rain showers, the event was filled with high spirits and a palpable sense of community.

Vibrant Vendor Offerings and Delicious Food

From early morning until late afternoon, Hawkins Avenue was bustling with vendors offering a diverse range of goods. Attendees had the opportunity to browse through handmade crafts, jewelry, clothing, and home décor items. Whether in search of unique gifts or everyday essentials, shoppers found something to suit their tastes.

A major highlight of the fair was the array of food trucks serving mouth-watering dishes. Fairgoers enjoyed classic sausage and peppers, Greek specialties like gyros and souvlaki, tangy fried pickles, and a variety of ice cream flavors. Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine, Suffolk County Comptroller John Kennedy, Legislator Leslie Kennedy, Legislator Anthony Piccirillo, Assemblyman Doug Smith, and State Senator Dean Murray—all made appearances, engaging with constituents and discussing local issues. Their presence highlighted the fair’s role as a platform for civic engagement and direct dialogue between residents and their representatives.

Community Services and Family Fun
